I’ve been to Wisteria Lane, and the Bates Motel and Amity and Skull Island … well actually, I’ve been on the Universal Studios back lot tour.
It was a lot of fun – and it got me thinking about my favourite films.
Just like my favourite books, my favourite films all have the most amazing characters. They could be good guys or bad guys, heroes or heroines but I care about what happens to them. I love good story-telling, and a happy ending doesn’t hurt either.

I’m bouncing around the room today – absolutely thrilled to learn that I am a finalist in the Sheila Contest – run by the Valley Forge chapter of the Romance Writers of America.

This is the cover of the fabulous charity anthology that has been put together to raise money for victims of the floods that ravaged large parts of Queensland in January.
I am very proud to have my name on the cover – and to be part of such a fabulous venture.
All the stories have been donated.
A team of dedicated volunteers did all the work to put the volume together and every cent raised will go to the flood victims.
It’s due to be released around the world in the first week in May.
I’ll let you know here how to buy it. You will be helping some people who need it.
I’ve had a sneak preview – and let me say you’ll also be getting some very good reading.
We set out for Queens last weekend, to explore Flushing Meadows – knowing only that it had a zoo – and that’s where the US Open Tennis is played.
