So – here I am in New York City: The Big Apple, The City That Never Sleeps.
Wow!
I’ve only been here a day and a half and my head is spinning a bit.
Webmaster John and I have a tiny shoebox of an apartment not far from the UN building. We share the street with diplomatic missions from several small African countries, a literary agent and lots of bars, restaurants and shops.
In case of emergencies, there’s a plastic surgeon two doors down and it’s only a short stroll to Bloomingdales.
I’ve already found a Barnes and Noble bookshop and the nearest branch of the NY Public Library.
Did I mention it’s only a fifteen minute walk to Fifth Avenue… one of these mornings I shall do an Audrey Hepburn – and take a croissant and cup of coffee (well – tea) for breakfast at Tiffany’s.
I’m already planning to go to hear fellow LBD author Janet Mullany do a reading at Lady Jane Salon on October 4th – which will be my first meeting with romance writers on this side of the pond.
I’ve really got no idea of what lies ahead – but it’s going to be fun finding out. I’ll be posting all about it here… so do come back soon.
