Romantic Times in New Orleans

Do I really need the pink feather boa? If not here, where will I ever wear it?

I’m visiting New Orleans for the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention all this week.

I will try to post some news – and some photos – but it’s going to be a busy week. There will be literally thousands of readers and writers here – all talking about romance novels.

Wow!

New Orleans is also knows at The Big Easy – but I have got to tell you, there’s nothing easy about preparing for an event like this.

I’ve been collecting giveaways for my appearances at the convention. The pile in my office gets bigger and bigger every day – and there’s more still to come.

I started with the chocolate - and went a bit crazy after that.

Isn’t this tea-pot lovely – we’ll be making tea at a Choc Lit Tea party – and some lucky person is going to get to take this home.

Now that's a tea-pot!

And what better for a romance convention that a Royal kiss… I must get my fellow UK authors to sign this before I give it away.

Make way for romance UK style...

Of course – I am an Aussie and my books are set there – so there is some Aussie representation.

My homeland and my adopted country are both close to my heart.

On top of the giveaway – there are really hard decisions looming as I get ready to leave….

I am trying to cut down to absolute essentials - honestly I am.

And… I have to fit in my laptop and camera and stuff for the media workshop I’m presenting.  I do hope BA will be tolerant in their baggage weight policy.
