So 2026 is here. I\u2019m not sure how that happened \u2013 the year has passed in a flash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In welcoming 2026, I am also welcoming a new book \u2013 and some new residents to Wagtail Ridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safe Haven at Wagtail Ridge is the third book set in this small New South Wales town. It\u2019s good to spend some time with old friends, but this book has a new story of love, and forgiveness and second chances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Anna and Justin\u2019s story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna Prentiss, the town vet, keeps herself emotionally distant from everyone. Badly scarred in an accident, she believes she will never be loved. But the matchmakers of the knitting club disagree.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firefighter Justin Turner is building a volunteer fire service to protect the town during the bushfire season. But Justin and his identical twin brother, Ben, face an unexpected and rocky reunion when their estranged mother crashes back into their orbit.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justin doesn’t see Anna’s scars – only her beauty and strength. But his attempt at a romantic dinner goes horribly wrong, and he begins to understand how easy it is to be unintentionally cruel – a lesson he should apply to his own past with his mother.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When fate forces both Anna and Justin to confront their fears, they see the chance of a future together. But as a raging bushfire threatens Wagtail Ridge, will this newfound hope be reduced to ash before they can take the chance?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like all my books, this is a stand-alone story, but if you like a series, then Wagtail Ridge might be just what you are looking for. It\u2019s available in e-book and audio around the world, and in paperback in Aust\/NZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a writer is hard work, but I love it.. especially when reviews start coming in for a new book \u2013 and they look like this\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
