A great start to the week<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This morning I received these in the post \u2013 copies of the Norwegian edition of my novel “The Farmer Needs A Wife”.<\/a><\/p>\n

It’s such a pretty cover- it made me smile immediately..<\/p>\n

But now I’m wondering what the title is \u2026<\/p>\n

Translated books quite often have different titles than the original.<\/p>\n

A translator friend of mine (who is also a novelist \u2013 Henriette Gyland \u2013 check out her new book<\/a>) explained this is often because cultural references are different between the two places.<\/p>\n

The Russian edition of the same book was titled (roughly translated) “Love Will Find You”.<\/p>\n

So \u2013 does anyone out there speak Norwegian? Can you translate this for me. I’ll send you a signed copy of the book.<\/p>\n

The front cover has a lovely quote from the fabulous Katie Fforde <\/a>\u2013 saying she loved the book. I didn’t expect that. Thank you Katie. The feeling is very mutual.<\/p>\n

This version is the first of my books to have my photo on the cover. I’m a bit shy about photos \u2013 but they have done such a nice job of it.<\/p>\n

Monday morning was starting a bit slow, particularly as I am jet-lagged after returning from Kazakhstan \u2013 but suddenly it’s a pretty fine Monday indeed!<\/p>\n
