The entrance – a harbinger of good things to come.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It’s official – Christmas has started.<\/p>\n

This week I went to my first Christmas party – and , as is almost always the case, it involved my lovely writer friends.<\/p>\n

The London RNA chapter gathered in a new venue for us – a pub just down the corner from a most famous literary location\u00a0in Baker street.<\/p>\n

There was no detective work in deciding its was the right venue for us….\u00a0 It was obvious\u00a0 when I walked in the door to find a line of books, musical instruments, cameras and a globe calling me down into the cellar.<\/p>\n

And I could hear the laughter and cheerful chatter as well.<\/p>\n

There’s nothing to say about these lovely RNA friends – except that they are the most cheerful, supportive, friendly and wonderful bunch…<\/p>\n

Ladies (and the few gents) it a\u00a0 great honour to be one of you.<\/p>\n

The merry group – what a lot of words we have written between us – and spoken too.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"Secret<\/a>
Secret Santa was not really a secret – with so many book shaped gifts on the table.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"We<\/a>
We write very different things – but when it comes down to it – we are all writers. That’s what matters.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"There<\/a>
There was a lot of good news to be celebrated…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"And<\/a>
And we are always very happy to share each others’ journeys.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"The<\/a>
The staff took care of us very well – thank you everyone.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"And<\/a>
And the table settings were delightfully festive – and fragrant.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"I<\/a>
I was rather chuffed to discover we were celebrating in the very place where a great English institution was founded.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"There<\/a>
There was only one tiny hiccup in our well laid plans – but stairs are no obstacle to a determined romance writer.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"And<\/a>
And yes – there were silly hats. Mine was blue to match my blue hair that matches my blue book cover. The room was full of writers. They totally understood.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
