I am bouncing around with a big smile on my face… Flight to Coorah Creek has just won the Aspen Gold Reader’s Choice Award for a single title Romance.
This award is presented by the Heart of Denver chapter of the Romance writers of America. I tied for first place with well-known US romance writer Nancy Herkness.
This is a fabulous honour and I am thrilled.
It is particularly wonderful because I’ve visited Denver and really enjoyed my stay there. In particular, I loved the Big Blue Bear – a 4 storey high statue that looks in through the windows of the Denver Convention Centre.
And now – the Big Blue Bear likes my book. How totally wonderful is that?

I am so thrilled for you, Janet!! Well done. I don’t wonder you’re doing a happy dance and I don’t wonder you won. Flight to Coorah Creek is a wonderful book. I hope you do something noteworthy to celebrate!
Thanks so much Beverley. I was just thinking back to the launch – when you and I spent an evening at the Chocolate museum sending our books out into the world. That was so much fun. J XX
