Announcing… The Wild One

What a fabulous cover the lovely people at ChocLit have given me.
What a fabulous cover the lovely people at ChocLit have given me.

I am totally thrilled to announce (drum roll, trumpet fanfare … etc) the second Coorah Creek novel – The Wild One.

I know I say this about all my books – but I totally loved writing this book.

It was great to re-visit the town and the characters from Flight To Coorah Creek – but there were new people for me to meet as well.

In this book – we go back to the Tyangi Crossing National Park outside Coorah Creek. Dan, the park ranger, appeared in the first book. He rescued a girl trapped in the caves out there. That’s the sort of man Dan is – strong and competent and resourceful. But he is haunted by the past.

He comes face to face (literally) with Rachel Quinn – a professional photographer with secrets of her own.

There’s a struggle ahead – they could be on different sides. Or maybe they can work together…

We also get to spent some time with Carrie Bryant – the jockey who was injured in a race fall at Birdsville. She’s not doing so well. But maybe Horse breeder Justin Fraser can help her. Or will he have to choose between his feelings for Carrie and this own battle to reclaim his heritage.

It was so nice when writing this to revisit Coorah Creek and the townsfolk – Jess and Adam. Jack and Ellen – not to mention Trish from the pub.

The e-book is available to pre-order now on all the major e-book sites.

There’s more about the book on my book pages.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I’ve been waiting for your next Coorah Creek book, Janet, so can’t wait to read “The Wild One”. “Flight to Coorah Creek” was excellent and reminded me of happy hours watching “The Flying Doctors” TV series as a teenager. So when it came to reading “Flight to Coorah” I could picture the colours and look of the outback. I hope there’ll be plenty more Coorah Creek books to come.

Awww. Thanks Kate. I am so glad you liked Flight To Coorah Creek. I hope you’ll like this new one too. And – just a hint – there’s another Coorah creek novel due for release later this year. SSHHHH! It’s a secret. Don’t tell anyone yet. 🙂 J XX
