Three Cheers…

The announcement as I posted it on the RNA website.

It seems only fitting that on Valentine’s Day, I should do a blog devoted to Romance – ah, but not just any romance. This is all about my love affair with books – specifically books about relationships and love, because after all our relationships with other people are the most important part of our lives.

This week the Romantic Novelists Association  announced the books shortlisted for its annual RoNA Awards.

As many of you know, I am a member of this august body. I administer the website – and I help out with the PR for the awards. It drives me crazy sometimes. It really does. I want to tear my hair out and scream. But other times, it brings a tear to my eyes.

I do what I do because I believe in the books we all write. I believe in the organisation that represents us. And I believe in the friendships and support that we give each other.

Therefore – this week I am giving over this blog to those fabulous writers who are nominated for the awards. Many are my friends. Many are writers I read. Some are writers I have not read – but soon will.

Congrats ladies – well done!

Hard for me cheer for a winner - too many of the nominees are my good friends.
