Novelists don’t get out much. We spend a lot of our time on our writing place, talking to imaginary people in our head. So when we do get out and get to spend time with real people – we talk a lot.
Or maybe I just talk a lot…
My second week of Christmas was marked by lunch with another group of writer friends – the ladies of the Reading chapter of the RNA.
During any year, I can be found with several different groups of writers – and each group is different. Some groups are very informative and hold workshops and serious discussions. Other groups just chat – about books and writing and … whatever.
It doesn’t matter – its all about being friends, supporting each other and sharing the journey.
So to all the ladies in the photos below – I just want to say thank you for your friendship and advice and support and good cheer…

You are so right Janet. We all need the support of fabulous and talented authors like the RNA Reading group who we know understand just how madcap this crazy writing lark can be. Each one of us has a truly individual journey and yet somehow we come together and share what we have learnt in such an open and supportive way that I think is unique to romance authors.
