Writing is hard work – have I said that before? It is and none of us can do it alone. We all need a bit of support from time to time. That’s where writing retreats come in. Whether it’s your first book, your tenth or your 50th (yes there are people who have write that many) – from time to time we all need to take a deep breath and re-fill the writing well.

Each year, my colleague Alison May and I lead tutored residential writing retreats to do just that. The small retreats include workshops, where we all examine the important tools of being a writer, casual late night chats about the business of writing and why we write, and one to one discussions about work in progress or the next book that sometimes seems just beyond reach.

In 2023, we’ll be holding two such retreats – returning to Shakespear country and the Kings Court hotel, with its great food, fabulous conference rooms and friendly atmosphere to devote a whole weekend to just being a writer.

We do our very best to keep prices low, and there’ll be no increase from our 2021 price – with discounts available for early bookings.

The details and link to the booking form are below.  Feel free to email me or Alison if you have any questions. I do hope you can join us.
